The Apostolic Mission Statement

July 19th, 2009 · 1 Comment

God is calling us at this late hour to participate in and carry to completion the work of the apostles, especially Paul. The baton has been passed to us. We are not to measure ourselves by the standards of this day. Nor should we compare ourselves to others in our day. God’s mission is a noble purpose that the apostles and others have lived, sacrificed, and died for. It transcends the restoration of apostolic truth and doctrine. But it will require deep saturation in and application of apostolic truth and doctrine to bring the work to completion. This work will require salvation being expressed in a collective dimension. Romans 1:1-7, Romans 15:14-17, Romans 12:1-2

No one is more qualified in every way to expound on the message of Romans than John Hartmann. This series that begins with this sermon should be spread far and wide. John has been entrusted with clear insight into the Gospel of God as proclaimed by Paul. This website is a great gift to the whole Body, allowing believers everywhere to be exposed to this phenomenal teaching. If you live in St. Louis, go hear him in person and be renewed by the Spirit in the tremendous worship at the church. If you live elsewhere, listen carefully and prayerfully and tell others.

As a former seminary professor at a major evangelical seminary who has heard and read a lot regarding Romans, I believe that John has tons of insight into the Word and particularly Romans that you will get nowhere else. Hopefully in due course John will publish a book sharing his insights, but we don’t have to wait for that to sit at the feet of this great man of God and listen to him unpack the treasures of Romans for the 21st century Church.
