Knowing Peace in Troubling Times

February 8th, 2009 · No Comments

Dr. Hartmann opens with the prayer and affirmation from Psalm 138:7-8, whose ongoing theme is weaved throughout this message.

Knowing peace in troubling times requires more than just having peace with God but having the peace of God in the midst of our hearts despite being surrounded by troubling circumstances. Romans 5:1-11, Colossians 1:20-21, 2 Corinthians 5:17-21, Ephesians 2:13-18. Peace with God is required for the peace of God. Peace with God requires repentance from sin. God makes us new creations and imparts his divine life within us allowing us to be partakers of his divine nature when we are born again. This enables us to have authentic fellowship with one another in the body of Christ. God is love and he enables us to love one another. This manifests itself in actions and not only words. Dr. Hartmann outlines practical scriptural methods to walk in God’s peace throughout the remainder of the message.
