Peter’s Sermon in Acts 3

May 4th, 2008 · No Comments

Dr. Hartmann looks through critical but often-overlooked aspects of Peter’s sermon in Acts 3. One of the most essential elements of genuine apostolic Christianity is proclamation that the shed blood of Jesus is the basis of forgiveness of sins and legitimate restoration. Dr. Hartmann outlines critical elements of Peter’s sermon that nourish understanding of important eschatological dimensions of God’s plan for humanity. Restoration brings a necessity for a kinsman redeemer to buy back what Adam lost. Jesus fulfills this most perfectly. The ultimate rule of Christ over all is asserted and our preparation for ruling with Him is introduced as motivation for godliness in our current day.
