Dr. Hartman takes 2 Chronicles 16:9 which says the eyes of the LORD are looking throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong in the behalf of those whose heart is perfect toward him as a point of departure in this encouraging and prophetically poignant call and indictment.
A distressed call for God to bless America following the 9-11 attacks found God looking for something to bless. Using a rhetorical device of a question arising from God’s heart saying “What can I bless?”, a prophetic indictment is delivered to shatter the placid mindsets that have grown accustomed to blatant rebellion against God and His clearly articulated commands. God’s brokenhearted frustration is poured out as He looks at America – a land that has corrupted itself on so many levels.
God has demonstrated through the cross His method of extricating people from an America that has given itself over to self love, adultery, love of pleasure, love of money, corruption, abortion, and charlatanism in the pulpit.
Dr. Hartmann then identifies several characteristics of an authentically apostolic church.
